GenderID.nl is a thematic site within the network surrounding genderinfo.nl , published by Stichting Genderinfo io. The site focuses on one question: what is "gender identity" actually, and does the concept hold up under critical examination?

Why a site about a single concept

The entire gender-affirmative care model stands or falls on the assumption that "gender identity" is an inner, knowable, self-reported reality that is more important than biological sex. Protocols for puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgery are built on this assumption—even for minors. Anyone who does not question the concept itself cannot fairly evaluate the care.

What we do

• Historical and philosophical analysis of the concept of "gender identity".
• Discussion of methodological problems: circular reasoning, unfalsifiability, self-reporting as the sole source.
• Referral to international revisions: Cass Review , SBU (Sweden), NICE , Finnish and Norwegian guidelines.
• Attention to alternative explanatory models missing from the mainstream narrative — autogynephilia, ROGD, social contagion, desistance.

What we don't do

We do not deny that people with gender dysphoria suffer really. We do deny, however, that an untested concept may serve as the basis for irreversible medical interventions — especially on children. We are not engaged in "erasing" trans people, but in an honest evaluation of a dominant theory.
